Looooong Day

abelinaOkay...my second to last shift at Darth Hot Hospital. All was quiet until about 3pm when suddenly one of my patients decides to start passing large amounts of blood (into the toilet...not good)...so, on come the blood transfusions (3 units), 3 separate blood drawings by lab techs, a new IV start, 1000mL of saline in two hours (that's a lot), a catheter...and finally, down to endoscopy for a colonoscopy, so her doc could see WHERE she was bleeding...
Very hectic, to say the least - I was off at 7 and didn't actually leave the building until 730.
Not to mention that I was tired to begin with...now I'm exhausted. I think, for once in my life, I will be in bed before 1030!
