One of those real lifey type posts
Jun. 28th, 2009 10:09 pmMy husband has been mountain biking for, well, if I tell you how long, you'll realize how much older than me he really is . . .
Let's just say, a long time. I've started up the past couple of years riding with him and today we did a 4 hour ride that was chall-en-ging. I'm not nearly in the shape I was ten years ago, but I'm pretty proud of myself for how well I did today. There was a tone of up hill, and I surpassed my goal of how many of the hills I was going to ride (I said half ride, half walk - I rode at least two thirds of them), and did really well (according to the man who loves me) riding down - which isn't as easy as it sounds.
Up until today, the trail I've ridden with the best name is Buggered Pig. Well, today we did Bucket of Blood. Great name, and let me tell you, pretty accurate. The uphill was gruelling, to put it mildly.
